KISMIF.org was started by Mike Newman, an Eagle Scout and former Scouter in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Its primary purpose is to give Cub Scout leaders information and suggestions to help them run a great Cub Scout program.
Mike served as a Cubmaster for 4 years (2005 – 2009) in the Butterfield Trail District of Westark Area Council. He has had various other Scouting roles including Cub Scout Day Camp Director, Assistant Scoutmaster, Popcorn Kernel, and District Cub Scout Roundup Chair. In 2009, he was honored with being chosen as District Cubmaster of the Year.
Mike enjoys being out in nature. He has two teenage kids who sometimes go hiking with him.
If you are interested in hiking in Arkansas or Oklahoma, check out his ArklahomerHiker.org website.
