Cub Scouting means “doing.” Everything in Cub Scouting is designed to have the boys doing things.
Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.
National Council’s Cub Scout page has links to download the NEW meeting plans.

For those Cub Scouts leaders who prefer digital resources, your wait is over.
Part of the new Cub Scout Delivery Model, this new resource offers den meeting plans for all ranks, plus pack meeting plans connected to monthly themes.
Also includes a light overview of the Cub Scouts program, an introduction to den leader responsibilities and den management, and an online resource list.
Other resources available include:

- Webelos Leader Book
- Roundtable Planning Guide
- Cub Scout Den & Pack Ceremonies

All available booklets in the Cub Scout Activity Series are now only 88¢ each from BSA Supply Group. The booklets were part of the now-discontinued Den Meeting in a Box series.
Among the cool booklets still available are ones on recycling, trees, weather, bugs, and dinosaurs.

Cub Scout Program Helps (apparently in its final year) is a great resource for Cub Scout leaders. It features a month-by-month breakdown of suggestions for den (Tiger, Wolf, or Bear) and pack games, songs, advancement ceremonies, crafts, and other activities to go along with the Cub Scout Monthly Themes.
BSA National has now posted a downloadable single pdf file of the entire 2009-2010 Cub Scout Program Helps. (The BSA link says “2008-2009,” but it is the 2009-2010 version.)

I picked up a copy of the 2009-2010 Cub Scout Program Helps at my local scout shop this week.
According to unofficial sources, this will be the last edition of Cub Scout Program Helps. No word yet on what will be replacing Program Helps in the future.
One nice change in this edition is that the monthly suggestions are grouped first by age level (Tiger, Wolf, Bear) and then by month. The helps for Cubmasters are at the front of the book.
[Update 07-25-2009: You can now download the full 2009-2010 Cub Scout Program Helps at the BSA website. Link (pdf)]

Some members of the Cub Scout Talk Yahoo Group are hearing from their local scout shops that a 2009 edition of the Webelos Scout Handbook will be coming out this Fall.
Perhaps the new edition will incorporate the new Cub Scout Belt Loops.
